She apparently flew in from Belgium a few days and booked an expensive $2300 per night suite in the Penninsula Hotel on Fifth Avenue where she was holed up for 2 days with her autistic 8 year old son. And then Gigi Mirra Jordan did the unthinkable. She allegedly drugged the boy to death and attempted to drug herself to death as well.
When police found the divorcée and her son days later after being tipped off by relatives in Belgium who had faxed frightening emails Gigi had sent stating she would kill the boy and herself, the police found the child face up and foaming at the mouth, and, I guess, dead of overdose. From the Daily News I got the following bits of information:
The dead boy’s father, reached at his California business, was staggered by news of his son’s death and the criminal charges against his ex-wife.
“Is she in custody?” asked Emil Tzekov, whose five-year marriage to Jordan ended in 2006. “I’m very shocked about the whole situation.”
Tzekov told the Daily News that he hadn’t seen Jordan or his son for more than a year. The couple married in 2001, just six days after her divorce from pharmaceutical company executive Raymond Mirra.
