Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Prove That Having a Baby Can Save Your Marriage After Divorce Scare
Not even ten minutes after I wrote this post about how babies can wreck your marriage, I saw this post about Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott and how they say having a fifth child named Beau Dean has saved their struggling marriage. The couple married in 2006 and were seemingly rather happy till the bombshell that Dean had been unfaithful to Tori. Lots of Tori’s fans expected Tori to divorce Dean but she says she purposefully ignored all their advice and focused on saving her marriage because she just loved her husband.
They keep having babies. This last one makes five kids.
Tori said the new baby is like “having a baby in a new relationship” with her husband, who she admits participated in years of intense marital therapy after his infidelity. Can this baby save them? Will Dean ever cheat on Tori again? Can a philanderer be cured? Who knows? But one thing is for sure: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have very cute kids together. Those two make good babies! Maybe that is why they keep doing it! Tori even insanely deadpanned that they are open to a sixth child! (That would make seven for Dean who has a teenager from a previous marriage.)
Will these kids save Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage and keep them out of divorce court? Probably. It is very possible. But are Tori and Dean “happy?” Well, that is another story. According to the research from the article I linked to above couples like Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are supposed to be miserable as heck. Thus, should you follow Tori and Dean and proceed to having five kids to cement your marriage?
I don’t know. As my friend Catharine Sloper said over at Divorce in Connecticut “you tell me.”
