NEW YORK: Chelsea Clinton divorce? Rumors float that Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky are getting a divorce

NEW YORK, NY: Is Chelsea Clinton getting a divorce from Marc Mezvinsky? Or are these divorce rumors bogus?

Have you heard rumors that PhD candidate and first daughter Chelsea Clinton and her investment banker husband Marc Mezvinky are getting a divorce? I’ve seen the story about an impending divorce (Marc apparently took off to a 3 month ski trip alone) on a few blogs but I’ve been purposely ignoring it because I think it’s all BS but then again, usually when I think something is so ridiculous that it’s BS, it’s usually true. It’s sort of like back in 1993 when I was working at 2 WTC and the building shook as I sat at my desk trying to deal with my mutual fund accounting duties (first job out of college) and somebody said they saw smoke and that it was a bomb and I just kept working while all these other just-out-of-college guys and gals were at the windows looking down 72 stories to try to figure out what was going on. To me, it clearly was bullshit going on; so I kept working and minding my business and let the busy-bodies do their thing. We all know how that one turned out.

Or, like, when the rumors hit that Brad Pitt was dating Angelina. My reaction? Total bullshit. Or when the Enquirer came out with the story that John Edwards had fathered a child with Rielle Hunter. Or when Bill Clinton was accused of having “sex” with Monica Lewinsky. In each and every one of these stories, I ignored them at first because, clearly, on their face, they all amounted to prima facie bullshit that did not warrant my time, attention and response.

So, this thing with Chelsea and Marc having marriage problems and a divorce being imminent, not even a year into their marriage which started with that lavish ceremony in New York? I’m not buying into it. I don’t believe it. It’s bullshit. Clearly. Prima Facie. But I mention it nonetheless, to let you know that those rumors are floating out there. Marc apparently quit his job and went skiing for weeks without Chelsea and seems to people that something untoward is going on in the marriage….like, they’re saying it’s a divorce….

But, as I said, it’s all bullshit. I will only believe it when I see the judgment of divorce on Radaronline or TMZ. I really hope this whole thing is just rumor. I don’t want to say I told you so. But I did get a bad feeling about the whole thing.
