GEORGIA: How much does it cost to divorce in Cobb County, Georgia?

Do you live in Cobb County and want a divorce? Here are the filing fees per the Superior Court of Cobb County, Georgia:


The total cost for filing general civil case shall be $213.50, total cost for divorce filing fee shall be $218.50.  Checks are to be made payable to Cobb County Clerk of Superior Court.  No credit cards, debit cards or travelers checks.

There is a $50.00 fee for the Sheriff’s service (if required) for each party.  This payment is made to the Cobb County Clerk of Superior Court.

The fee for Publication is $80.00.  The Publication fee for Adoptions is $60.

This fee must be paid with a check or money order made payable: The Marietta Daily Journal.  They do not accept cash.

Multiple plaintiffs/defendants add $8.00 each after first plaintiff/defendant.

    That is way too high. In Oklahoma, the filing fee for a divorce $191.00. That is a $17.50 difference. $17.50 may not sound like a great sum of cash, but for a lot of people, that is one hour, one and half hours of labor at their jobs.
